I create phase boxes and pamphlet binders for their collection of artist books.  I also help label and organize the collection by updating the records in FileMaker Pro.

I worked with the conservation staff on preventative care and conservation. This included boxing books to protect them from light damage and surface cleaning.

New England Genealogical Society | Boston, MA Volunteer | Aug 2014 – Feb 2015

I repaired books so they can continue to be used by library patrons.  This included paper mending, rebinding, rebacks, and digital repairs.

MIT | Cambridge, MA Peterson Telegraphy Intern| Nov 2013 – Jan 2014

I worked with the conservation staff to prep telegraphy collection for cataloging.  This included vacuuming, surface cleaning, Mylar jackets, co-libri book jackets, and enclosures.

Cave Paper | Minneapolis, MN Intern | July 2013 – Aug 2013

I assisted with all parts of the paper making process.  This included pulling sheets, making and applying dyes to paper, and gelatin sizing

University of Iowa | Iowa City, IA Book Repair/Conservation| Oct 2011 – May 2012

I assisted with flood conservation for National Czech & Slovak Museum in Cedar Rapids. In book repair, I used techniques including rebacks, tip-ins, and hinge tightening to repair the circulating collection.
